1. Bookings

Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. Bookings may be rescheduled subject to availability.
A $5.00 administration fee applies to all customer-requested booking changes and is payable on arrival.
No rescheduling fee applies where Port Stephens Kayak & Stand Up Paddle
reschedules or cancels a booking due to unsafe weather or sea conditions.
3. Weather Policy
The safety of our guests is our highest priority. Weather and sea conditions can change rapidly and may affect the safe operation of hire equipment and guided tours.
Port Stephens Kayak & Stand Up Paddle reserves the right to postpone or cancel any hire or tour if conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable.
Wherever possible, bookings will be rescheduled to another suitable date. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
The decision regarding weather and sea conditions rests solely with Port Stephens Kayak & Stand Up Paddle.
4. Participant Requirements
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, participants must comply with the following:
- Children under 14 years of age must be always supervised by a responsible
- Non-swimmers must advise us prior to their activity and must wear a provided Personal Flotation Device (PFD).
- Participants must advise us of any medical conditions, injuries or physical limitations that may affect their ability to safely participate.
- All participants must always follow the instructions of our staff, including safety briefings, paddling boundaries, designated routes and any directions given during the activity.
- Participants must always remain within the designated paddling boundaries or tour route and must not leave these areas for any reason unless directed by a member of staff.
- Port Stephens Kayak & Stand Up Paddle reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation where a person’s behaviour, medical condition, failure to follow instructions, or any other circumstance is considered to compromise their own safety or the safety of others.
5. Safety Equipment
- Kayak users must wear supplied
- SUP users must wear supplied leg

6. Appropriate Clothing
For your safety and comfort, participants must wear suitable clothing for paddling.
Heavy clothing such as denim jeans, long skirts, dresses, or other restrictive
garments is not permitted, as these can become heavy when wet and may affect your ability to paddle or swim safely.
We recommend wearing:
- Lightweight, quick-drying clothing
- Swimwear or activewear
- A hat and sunscreen
- Secure footwear or sandals suitable for getting wet (optional)
Port Stephens Kayak & Stand-Up Paddle reserves the right to refuse participation if a participant’s clothing is considered unsuitable for the safe operation of the activity.
7. Equipment Responsibility Guests agree to:

- Return equipment on

- Be responsible for deliberate or negligent
8. Late Returns
Equipment returned after the agreed hire period may incur additional hire charges.
9.Personal Belongings
- Dry bags are provided as a convenience.

10. Guided Tours

11. Liability & Risk Acknowledgement
Kayaking and stand up paddleboarding are adventure activities that involve inherent risks. By participating, guests acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all safety instructions provided.
12. Agreement & Liability Waiver
Participation in any hire or guided tour is conditional upon the completion and signing of our Agreement and Liability Waiver. This document outlines the inherent risks
associated with kayaking and stand up paddleboarding and confirms your acceptance of these risks.
Participants under the age of 18 must have the waiver completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian before participating.
Port Stephens Kayak & Stand-Up Paddle reserves the right to refuse participation if a completed waiver has not been received.
13. Photography
We occasionally take photographs for promotional purposes. Please advise us before your activity if you do not wish to appear in photographs.

- fails to follow safety instructions
- may place themselves or others at risk
